A bruised Bug

So I'm frightened to take my kid in public for fear of CPS showing up at my front door given my son's current appearance!

The other day Brady was frantically chasing after Charlie and in doing so face-planted into the carpet which gave him a nice burn on his forehead! This of course comes right after his cheek finally healed after his run in with Jake the dog. Then if you notice he has a cut above his lip and on the side of his eye from his "wolverine" claws that he refuses to let me trim!

Guess that's life with a BOY!

Bakersfield or Bust!

We had a fantastic visit down to Bakersfield this last weekend! The weather was warm, the food was fabulous, and the swimming pool we couldn't keep Brady out of! He became quite the little daredevil jumping off the steps regardless if you were there or not! We're probably going to have to send Uncle Mike some money for all the water Brady drank out of the pool while trying to make bubbles! Good Times!

Oh and Aunt Debbie, we forgot to leave our $1.00 for the corn! HA, too funny!

Today we got back from the doctor and she said all is looking good. He's now 19.3 lbs which puts him back on the growth chart, barely! She doesn't seem concerned and we'll go back again in a month for his 15 month check up to see if he's progressed even further.

Other than that all is well here in Campbell at the Vega House. Hope you all are enjoying your summer!

Happy 4th of July and some fun times!

We had a great time at the annual Rhinehart 4th of July BBQ! Although we sure did miss the Springers! Exciting news though, we'll be heading to Georgia in October to visit for a week so that'll be alot of fun!

Brady health update; We go back July 20th for a weigh in and another round of bloodwork. Doctor said he had raised reticulocytes but she believes that may be a lab error because part of his tests came back totally normal. So we'll see how things look later this month. I weighed him over the weekend though and he was up to 19.5 lbs which is GREAT! He's starting to be a better eater which makes me happy!

A fun Summer!

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far, I know we are!

We're spending lots of time in the swimming pool and going on fun walks all around the neighborhood since the weather is so nice. Brady really enjoys his independence and watching him explore has become one of my favorite things to do. He's a curious little boy that's for sure!
