Double Digits!!

Well we've made it 10 whole days!! Along the way we've had some minor mishaps but as far as we can tell no permanent damage has been done!

Last Sunday we had our first doctors appointment where we were informed we were WAY underfeeding our little man! We've finally figured out Brady's hunger cues and have come a long way from 10ml of food to a full 2 ounces!! Told you he's a piglet!!

We've had several visitors over the last week and just to share a few pictures, here are the Vega's, Grandpa Dave (aka Popsicle), Grandma Norman (Mumzie) and Uncle Adam, all of who are thinking. . .geez it's about time he finally got here!

Grandpa and Grandma Vega

This week has been a huge eye opening experience for the Vega Family. Here are just a few tidbits we've discovered;

1. Poop stinks and is sticky.

2. There is no such thing as consistency with a newborn.

3. Napping when he naps during the day is a joke.

4. For someone so small, he comes with a lot of stuff.

5. Babies are a lot of work.

6. We can't imagine our lives without him!!

Mom. . .enough with the photos!

Until our next update. . .

Bath Time

This was too cute not to share! As we attempted to have our first sponge bath after having a minor diaper blowout, Charlie felt it was his responsibility as the "big brother" to assist.

I'm a Mommy!!

Well after what seemed to be the worlds longest pregnancy and 18 hours of labor Jeff and I are happy to announce the newest arrival to our family.
Brady Joseph Vega entered the world on May 21, 2009 at 4:12am!!

He was 7 lbs. 13 ounces and 20 3/4 inches!
As you can see he's got quite the scowl which he isn't afraid to use when letting me know that I'm taking to long with his next meal! The guy is a hungry little piglet!!
Well check back often as I hope to document our adventures now that our little family is complete!
Much love,
Laura, Jeff, Brady and Charlie
